Michael
Bigheart was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on February 16, 1950. Mike
received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Wichita State
University in 1972 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University
of Tulsa Law School in 1981.
After graduating from college in
1972, Mike worked in the banking industry until moving to Enid in 1980.
Mike was also involved in his family's oil and gas drilling business
from 1980 until 1988.
Mike was admitted to the Bar in Oklahoma
in 1983 and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme
Court and each of the United States District Courts in Oklahoma. He is
a member of the Garfield County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar
Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of
the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers and the Association of Trial Layers of
America.
Mike is presently a Director and Treasurer of the Youth
and Family Services of Northwest Oklahoma. Mike is also active in the
Denny Price Family YMCA of Enid having served as Treasurer and
Director. Mike has also represented the Oklahoma Bar Association as a
member of the Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, and as a
temporary Judge of the Court of Appeals.
